For what it’s worth, I like your website, but I’m not sure about combining it with the blog. It makes me think the blog would not be interesting to anybody but another web designer.

What makes blogs appealing to people is the sense that they are personal If the blog seems like totally a business thing, that turns readers off (IMHO).

So maybe you should separate them. But do what works for you.
